Your Guide to the Garden Design Process

If you have never had a garden designed before, or have and would like to know the process there is a little guide below.

All gardens differ in size, the brief and budget however the process is same for all gardens.

Stage 1 – Initial Consultation.

Usually free of charge the initial consultation is a chance to view your garden and discuss a brief outline of what you would like to achieve from it. A quotation to provide the re-design drawing will follow shortly after.

Stage 2. The Survey & Brief.

Upon acceptance of the quotation an appointment will be made to carry out a full garden survey and take the full brief from you for the garden. The brief is your wish list for the garden, for example seating for 6, storage, children’s play area, barbecue area etc.

Stage 3. The Outline Plan

The outline plan is produced, to scale and a concept board to accompany this for discussion. Following the successful presentation of this plan the final drawing(s) are produced.

Stage 4. The Final Plan and Documents

The final colour garden design drawing is produced together with landscapers drawings and build specifications where relevant. All plans and documents are to scale. At this point the garden is ready for our landscapers, or ones of your choosing to provide quotations for the re-design.
